When a home is getting ready to hit the market, the outside is the first thing buyers see. Overgrown shrubs, bare beds, and patchy mulch can quietly signal neglect - even when the inside of the home is spotless. That was the situation here at this Carrollwood property. The beds had dead and scraggly shrubs taking up space, old mulch that had broken down to nothing, and a few areas along the foundation that were just bare dirt.

We started by pulling out the plants that weren't doing the property any favors. Some were completely dried out, others were just overgrown and messy. Once those were cleared, we prepped the beds properly before anything else went in. Clean soil, defined edges, fresh planting where it made sense.

Fresh mulch makes a bigger difference than most people expect. It ties everything together visually and gives the beds a finished look that photographs well and reads great from the street. That matters a lot when you're trying to get buyers through the door.

The pool area got attention too. The tropical plantings around the screened enclosure were tidied up so the outdoor living space felt inviting rather than overgrown. A well-kept pool deck and surrounding landscape tells buyers this home has been looked after - and that carries real weight during a showing.

Getting a property market-ready isn't always about big renovations. Sometimes it's the cleanup work - the removal, the fresh mulch, the shaped shrubs - that closes the gap between a house that sits and one that sells.
